Settling In

We've been here for two solid weeks now and are settling into a nice routine. A pool just opened on post so i've been lucky enough to start my days with a swim. There is a drop-in playgroup two mornings a week, literally across the street from our lodging. We go over after our school work is done and all three play hard for 2 hours.

On Wednesday's we head to the Post Library for story hour and to get books and movies for the week. This week the library also hosted "Reading with Taka" and both girls got to go in and read to Taka the service dog.

Then we head home for lunch and nap. We get a little school done and when Charlie wakes up we go out and play in the yard.

Around 4 two neighbor girls come home from school so the kids play in the yard or we take them to the play group yard across the street.

When Dad gets home or on days he doesn't go in until 8:30, I grab a run on the path just outside our door, it goes 3 miles in each direction. Paved and separated from the roadway.

Then we all head in for dinner, baths, stories and bed. It may not be Hawaii but it's pretty close to paradise.
